"Withe"

Do you have a habit that you know is wrong but it's sort of funny so you keep doing it anyways and think of it as one of your quirks instead? I do.

..............want to know what it is? ...............cool, I'll tell you,

I always type and write the words "with" and "the" together as "withe." my brain works faster than my fingers and I just can't be bothered to type the space and the extra "th," there is just not enough time!

It is kind of like in kindergarten when I was learning to spell and write small words and I kept mixing up my d's and b's so every time I wrote the word bed, it was deb. Then I thought that was a good name for a bed and so I started called my bed at home, Deb. I kept writing bed like deb just so that I could have my own secret code and then my teacher started getting worried that I didn't really know the difference between a B and a D and so I started worrying the same thing. (I worry a lot). Eventually, I realized that if you spell the word bed correctly in lowercase letters, it actually sort of looks like a bed. The two straight horizontal lines of the b and d make the bed posts and the round parts with the "e" make the mattress part. Boom. Problem solved. Luckily, I do know that "withe" is not a word and recognize it merely as my shorthand. And even though I know it is wrong, I will probably keep doing it. My hands are always cold and when your hands are cold, they feel numb, and when your hands feel numb, it is pretty tough to move them accurately. They will never catch up to my brain.
